Learn To Skate

BC Winter Club's Learn to Skate program is a great way for skaters of all ages and abilities to learn proper skating skills & techniques. Whether you are looking to compete or just learn how to stand on your skates, we can help! We have a fabulous coaching staff that can instruct you on all levels. All of our coaches are members of US Figure Skating or the Ice Skating Institute and all of our private coaches are members of the Professional Skaters Association, so you will be trained by highly qualified instructors.

BC Winter Club's Learn To Skate sessions consist of a half-hour lesson and a half-hour practice time. Rental skates are included with your registration fee on a first come, first served basis. We have a limited number of skates in each size, so be sure to register early and state your size and preference of figure skates or hockey skates.

For their safety and protection, all participants must wear gloves and durable clothing with long sleeves and full-length pants. Skaters who are under age 10 or who cannot skate the length of the Arena's ice surface unassisted must also wear a helmet and snowpants.
